Chlorine dioxide is an advanced disinfectant for water and wastewater treatment, as well as for disinfecting swimming pools.

Unlike chlorine, chlorine dioxide does NOT produce carcinogenic compounds as a by-product of disinfection.

For drinking water, chlorine dioxide is better than regular chlorine. Chlorine dioxide has a long-lasting effect through residual concentration – something that neither ozone nor UV can provide.
