OxySurf^TM is Osorno’s hard non-porous surface disinfectant that combines the disinfection power of QUATs (quaternary ammonium compounds), sodium chlorite (stabilized chlorine dioxide), and chlorine dioxide. This unique combination makes it very effective at killing bacteria and viruses. Oxusurf^TM has lasting disinfection effect due to the protective residual film that is formed on surfaces. It is sold as a ready to use solution with no mixing required and is registered for use with electrostatic sprayers. All application options are described in the product label.

In addition to its efficient disinfection properties, OxySurf^TM has a light cleaning effect. It is both moderately corrosive and eliminates odours.

OxySurf^TM is one of the few surface disinfectants that is registered to be applied with an electrostatic device, which allows fast 100% coverage of disinfected area. Use of electrostatic sprayer dramatically decreases the size of sprayed particles and increases its potential area coverage. This makes application cost-effective and time efficient, while also providing excellent disinfection performance on multiple surfaces.

OxySurf’s^TM disinfection efficiency was tested against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella enterica and Human Adenovirus Type 5. Based on its efficacy testing results, OxySurf^TM was confirmed to have a wide spectrum of bactericidal and virusidal activity. Human adenoviruses (HAdV) are a family of small, non-enveloped viruses with linear double-stranded DNA genomes of ~35 kilobase pairs. When killing efficacy is confirmed against Human Adenovirus, it means that the product is efficient against all enveloped viruses, such as influenza viruses and coronaviruses. This efficacy also means it works well against the blood-borne pathogens HIV (human immunodeficiency viruses), HCV (hepatitis C viruses), and HBV (hepatitis B viruses), as well as small enveloped viruses like feline calicivirus and rhinovirus.
