To ensure the best results, calibrate your pH meter before each day of use, or when switching pH ranges. Use buffers within the pH range of the samples you are testing and match the temperature of the buffer to the samples, then discard calibration solutions when finished.
Our pH 4.01 solution is made from potassium hydrogen phthalate buffer and acid red 249.
Our pH 7.00 solution is made from monopotassium phosphate, disodium phosphate, tartrazine yellow dye, and a 50/50 thymol/ethanol solution dosed at 0.1% to prevent fungal growth.
Our pH 10.00 solution is made from borate buffer and keyacid blue dye.
All components for our different solutions can be traced to NIST-certified reference materials.
Our solutions have a shelf life of 6 months; you may extend this shelf life by storing them in a refrigerator. Solutions should warm up to room temperature before use.
