Tashiro’s indicator is a mixed pH indicator containing methylene blue and methyl red, commonly used for the titration of ammonia in Kjeldahl analysis. Tashiro’s indicator appears violet in acids, green in bases, and grey at the equivalence point (pH 5.2). Indicator is sold in ready to use isopropanol solution in 15, 30, and 50 mL bottles.
