Description

This total water hardness kit tests for water hardness by titration using the provided dropper bottle.

Range & sensitivity is 1 drop = 10, 25, or 50 ppm CaCO₃.  All results are as CaCO₃.

LaMotte test kits use EDTA titration to determine water hardness with a red to blue endpoint. Both total and calcium hardness buffers include inhibitors to cancel mineral interference.  The 3609 (which we recommend for analyzing salt water) includes a conversion factor for Ca++. An -LI suffix indicates an all-liquid kit; -LT indicates a liquid buffer and tablet indicator.
